Levitt to attend 2013 IACP Forum

Karen will be attending the IACP Annual Forum in October, 2013, which will be held in San Antonio, Texas.

This is an annual educational conference about divorce, collaborative law, settlement and negotiation tools and techniques, and various other topics of interest that provide continuing education that is useful  for litigation, mediation, and collaborative law.

The Impact of Privilege, Transparency and Confidentiality on the Collaborative Team

Karen Levitt and psychologist Gina Arons presented “I’ve Got a Secret: The Impact of Privilege, Transparency and Confidentiality on the Collaborative Team”, to a full audience at the Massachusetts Collaborative Law Council’s South Shore Practice Group and the South Eastern Practice Group.

Karen and Gina will be giving the same presentation to the Greater Boston Collaborative Law Practice Group on October 1, 2013. The presentation will be in Boston at the office of the Boston Law Collaborative.

Emily and Karen complete co-mediation divorce case

Emily and Karen just successfully completed their first co-mediation in a divorce case! It was very exciting to work together to mediate a divorce case with some difficult emotional and financial issues.

While all the attorneys at the Levitt Law Group mediate individually, co-mediation is another model that is helpful in difficult cases or in cases with multiple parties.

Levitt authors chapter in book on Collaborative Law in New England

Karen has been invited to author a chapter in an upcoming Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education book about Collaborative Law in New England.

Karen’s chapter will focus on Pre-Briefs and De-Briefs in the collaborative process, two critical components of the process which are integral to its success for clients.
